About Kim
Kimberly June is a mother, businesswoman, and licensed attorney, currently working as the Data Governance and Chief Privacy Officer for the Maryland State Department of Education. As the agency privacy officer, Kim manages the implementation of security practices and procedures in compliance with the Maryland Data Privacy Executive Order.
Prior to this role, Kim has been focused on growing and managing her small business. From 2004 through 2018, Kim has run an information technology and training company, primarily supporting the federal government, under her General Support Administration (GSA) contract. She has held significant contracts with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Pension Benefit and Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Kim attended the University of Baltimore for her law degree and the Anne Arundel Community College where she obtained a paralegal certificate. Kim also holds a BS in Finance and an MBA from Penn State University.
Kim is a mother of two sons, Anthony and Nicholas June, and a grandmother of one granddaughter, Paisley. She feels her family is her greatest accomplishment.
Running for State Senator, Kim would like to provide others with the same opportunities to raise a family, work, and prosper.
Kim currently lives in Hanover, MD with her loving, but oh so annoying, cat named Kitty.
